Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th, 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the challenges of her living through her vibrant and far-ranging imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she knew how to write or read. After getting her first instrument at age of 8, she began to play on local radio stations from Knoxville in Tennessee. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. While she was at school, she already made a name of herself on the local scene. But her dream was to to make music on a greater level. On the very day she graduated high school, in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show needed a new singer at around this point. Parton was hired in 1966. She then she joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974, when her solo songs such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene oversold her collaborations. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached Number. The first time in 1974.
