Andrea auditioned for and was awarded the role as Lynn Tanner on the hit ALF ALF (1986). Andrea was a part of a variety of popular TV shows in addition to Movies of the Weekly for several more seasons before she quit the entertainment world to spend time with her family. When she was in New York City in 1969 Elson grew up into a world that revolved around travel as her father was a traveling salesman. Before her tenth birthday she was a resident of New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. In San Diego Andrea got an agent and got the role she tried to audition for. Fusco explained the decision by saying "ALF has a lifespan of 285 years so he is old enough to drink beer." As ALF gained more popularity with young children, NBC told Fusco that if he was drinking when the children are watching it's a bad image to model. Fusco believed that ALF was able to drink alcohol when he was an adult. In 1995, Fusco was discovered to be suffering from lymphoma. This cancer was successfully treated and he was in complete remission for the rest of his existence. The illness ended his life on the 26th of June 2019, when he had been 75 years old. He died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
