The series lasted four seasons. In 2006, Vandervoort starred in her first feature film titled The Lookout alongside Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Goode, and Isla Fisher. Other television roles including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation brought Vandervoort to take on the role of Clark Kent's Kryptonian counterpart "Kara Kent" (the person who is destined to become Supergirl) in The CW Serial Drama series Smallville. Her appearances in episodes seven and eight came in the form of a regular on the season, "Bloodline". Then, she returned for another two episodes in the final season of the tenth season of Smallville. In the aftermath of The CW, Vandervoort shot The sequel to the film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2 : The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independent film.
