Seasons 1-8 are when shippers place bids on two shipments via Uship using a reverse auction model. Bids contain comments about the likely risks and costs and the reasons and capabilities. The task is typically assigned to the bidder with the lowest price at the time that the auction closes. But, at the discretion of the buyer the job may be awarded to a bidder who has received a higher score from past clients' feedback. To break up any ties, feedback ratings are utilized. Season 9 will see shippers receive their cargo from a shipping agency. The bidding process isn't depicted. Shippers load their cargo and attempt to get it delivered in good condition within the timeframe set by the client or receiver. When the cargo is delivered, the clients leave feedback ratings. The show concludes with the revenue of each shipper and expenses. In order to determine the profit or loss, the amount of bids is subtracted. Sometimes, shippers will offer to carry additional loads during the same journey. The additional money is then added to their total. Sometimes, the shipper might not be able to complete the job due to concerns regarding the weight of the load and road safety. Sometimes, one shipper will employ the assistance of another shipper to finish a task. The shippers decide which way to split the profits. Seasons 1-8 are full of humorous criticisms from the other shippers.
